A Platform of Non-Governmental Organizations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has been established, APA’s local bureau reports.
The forum of NGOs of the OTS member countries continued its work today in Nakhchivan.
At the forum, held in Nakhchivan — a city of great symbolic and spiritual significance for the Organization due to the 2009 “Nakhchivan Agreement,” which marked an important milestone in the history of the OTS — a Platform bringing together the NGOs of the member states was officially established.
As the current chair of the Organization of Turkic States, Azerbaijan will lead the Platform. NGOs from eight countries have joined the new structure.
Member of Parliament Azer Allahverenov was elected chairman of the Platform.
