Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis has adopted an address on the occasion of World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, APA reports.
The agenda of the parliament’s session held today included the item titled “On the approval of the Address of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day.”
The address was read out by MP Zaur Shukurov.
The address states:
"Ending the 30-year occupation demonstrated Azerbaijan’s strength as a state and showed that the Azerbaijani people consistently support their country.
Today’s independent Azerbaijani state is one of the greatest historical achievements of our people. Our compatriots settled across various continents of the world take pride in Azerbaijan’s transformation into a leading state in the South Caucasus.
The achievements gained over the past period show that the Azerbaijani state is consistently capable of moving forward. There is still much work to be done to fully realize Azerbaijan’s potential and present it to the world. The existence and future of the Azerbaijani people largely depend on the unity of world Azerbaijanis.”
The address was put to a vote and adopted.
