"Importance of interparliamentary cooperation has been noted at our meeting. Two countries enjoy successful cooperation in the OSCE, the UN, the Eastern Partnership, and the GUAM," said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the joint press conference with his Moldovan counterpart, APA reports.
Foreign Minister has said that Azerbaijan and Moldova respect international principles: "Both countries support principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, recognition of territories within the framework of international borders. We have agreed on holding political consultations regularly for well-understanding positions of our countries. We should expand cooperation in the humanitarian field."
Jeyhun Bayramov has added that regional cooperation issues have broadly been discussed at the meeting with Moldovan counterpart: "I informed my counterpart about new realities, appeared after the 44-day war and Azerbaijan's priorities during the post-conflict period. Priority of Azerbaijan is a reconstruction of liberated territories and the return of IDPs. I also informed my counterpart about the reconstruction works."
The Head of the Foreign Ministry has brought to attention that the Azerbaijani side is committed to its obligations on the trilateral statements.
