One of the important outcomes of the August 8 summit was the signing of a document on the suspension of the 907 Amendment. The adoption of this amendment at the time was also an injustice toward us. In December, Congresswoman Anna Paulina from the state of Florida put forward an initiative in Congress regarding the repeal of this amendment. We believe that the adoption of such a law and the complete termination of the 907 Amendment would be very appropriate both in terms of Azerbaijan–U.S. relations and the creation of new opportunities for regional cooperation. Our expectation is that this amendment will be completely removed.”
