Azerbaijan and Oman sign MoU to expand cooperation in justice and legal affairs

As part of his working visit to Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Ahmadov, met with his counterpart from the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Alsaidi, the Press Service of the Ministry of Justice told APA.

The event discussed the expansion of the application of information and communication technologies in the field of justice, the establishment of a contractual and legal framework in the field of legal assistance, extradition, and the transfer of convicted persons. It was noted that intensifying reciprocal visits and expanding experience exchange will further strengthen legal cooperation.

Within the framework of the meeting, the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Justice and Law” was signed between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman. The document, which provides for experience exchange in many areas, was emphasized to be mutually beneficial and to contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
