“If anyone thinks that they will carry out the trafficking of weapons, mines and smuggling from the territory of Azerbaijan through the Lachin road, the era of all this has ended,” Assistant to Azerbaijani President-Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told journalists at the post created for Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society's humanitarian cargo on Aghdam-Khankandi road, APA reports.
“Let me note that for 30 years, as part of the fact of occupation and aggression, Armenia violated the customs regime of Azerbaijan, imposed customs duties on the products it imported, caused serious damage to the budget of Azerbaijan by gaining a large amount of funds from it, and ensured the import of these products to the territory of Azerbaijan. This, itself, should be evaluated separately. This is the subject of separate compensation to be paid by Armenia to Azerbaijan. We think that this is an issue for separate legal arenas,” he added.
