Assistant to President announces plan for evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine

"Azerbaijan's Embassy to Ukraine has received relevant instruction from our Ministry of Foreign Affairs," Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

Assistant to President has noted that regular contacts are kept with Azerbaijanis living in Ukraine by the Embassy: "Current objective situation is that Ukraine's air space is closed for international flights. That is why work is underway on opportunities for the evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens to the territory of neighboring countries of Ukraine with partner, friend countries by buses, and then to Azerbaijan. One of these directions is Moldova. Steps have been taken in direction of evacuation of several Azerbaijani citizens to Moldova. Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has delivered relevant security notes to our citizens in this country with our Embassy to Ukraine in advance that our citizens should follow rules, determined by official Ukrainian bodies on security, to be determined territories, avoid objects, where military operations are conducted, military objects exist."
