"We would like to remind the Armenian side which mislead the public regarding the arrest of Vagif Khachatryan- a person who committed a crime against humanity, that there are no restrictions in international humanitarian law preventing appropriate measures against war criminals," Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted in its commentary regarding the claims made by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during his speech at the government meeting, APA reports.
"The arrest of this person was carried out within the framework of Azerbaijani legislation and international law," the ministry added.
