The removal of restrictions by Azerbaijan on the transit of cargo passing through its territory to Armenia is one of the proofs of the peace that has been established, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan said at a briefing for journalists, APA reports.
“I am sure that in the future we will not face a lack of such steps. I welcome this statement by Azerbaijan. We expect the quick resolution of very important issues related to this matter,” Simonyan emphasized.
He also said that his meeting with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, in Geneva was held in a very positive and warm atmosphere.
According to him, the sides agreed to discuss and propose a concrete mechanism for future steps.
