Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, commented on Azerbaijan’s decision to lift the restrictions on cargo transit to the country, APA reports.
According to Baghdasaryan, the Republic of Armenia welcomes the statement of the President of Azerbaijan on the removal of restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia.
“This step is of great importance for the opening of regional communications, strengthening mutual trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the institutionalization of peace, in accordance with the agreements reached in Washington.”
Note that in his press statement with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan has lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia that had been in place since the occupation.
