Azerbaijan is ready for normalization of the process and peace with Armenia, said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan-Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, at a briefing for the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.
According to him, Armenia has waged a hybrid war against Azerbaijan several times: "These were wars fought in a diplomatic form, and diasporas were also involved here. The lobby was also involved in hybrid wars against Azerbaijan. This logic is not clear to us. Armenia, as a government, accepts the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, but the diplomatic steps they take say the opposite."
The assistant of the president said that Armenia is taking unnecessary and unnecessary initiatives that hinder peace in the region: "We actively hope for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in the future. With this, stable, long-term peace will be ensured in the region."
