Negotiations on the peace agreement are a process, and the process consists of various stages, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a briefing with his Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib, in response to APA's inquiry about today's statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"During the process, there are physical meetings, and in some cases, these meetings continue for several days, during which conditions are exchanged. I would like to note an interesting trend that, as a rule, Armenia keeps the comments sent by Azerbaijan for 30-60 days. Whether this is too much or too little, I won't comment. During this period, the Azerbaijani side considers it as an integral part of the process, as the outcome is more important to us. However, after sending their comments, the Armenian side announces to the media with headlines like 'We have sent our comments to Azerbaijan' a few days later.
Today, the Armenian side and the Prime Minister, in my opinion, have set a new record. Namely, they have made a statement to the media just 40 minutes after sending us the comments. In my view, all of this clearly demonstrates which side is more interested in the resolution of the process and which side is inclined towards headlines and political statements in the true sense of the word," the Minister added.
