On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, a solemn event was held at BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), one of the famous art centers of London, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United Kingdom, APA reports.
As part of the literary festival, the film "Treasures of the World - Azerbaijan" was shown. The film was produced with the assistance of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the BP company, and the Baku Media Center.
The event was attended by Soltan Mammadov, the head of the working group on Azerbaijan-UK interparliamentary relations, who led the Azerbaijani delegation at the event, as well as Baroness Emma Nicholson, the British Prime Minister's trade envoy, Lord David Evans, a member of the House of Lords, ambassadors and diplomats of many countries in London, and members of the Azerbaijani community in Britain and public figures.
Ambassador Elin Suleymanov, who opened the event, expressed his special gratitude to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's management for organizing the event, as well as emphasized the productive cooperation between Azerbaijan BP and, in this regard, discussed the steps taken in the direction of transition to green energy. In particular, he thanked Baroness Nicholson and other members of parliament for their contribution to bilateral relations. It was also said that the Foundation strongly promotes Azerbaijan's humanitarian and cultural propaganda in foreign countries.
Citing the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the production of this film, the ambassador said that the legacy of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev should guide us in other fields as well. Today, 19 years after his death, Azerbaijan is as strong as the Great Leader wished and is developing more dynamically day by day. H. Aliyev would be proud that Azerbaijan has become a model state for the region and is the support of all Azerbaijanis in the world.
