Ambassador: "Women and children are sent by plane and men by bus from Romania to Azerbaijan"

485 Azerbaijani citizens who arrived in Moldova from Ukraine have been sent to Romania, said Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova Gudsi Osmanov told APA.

Osmanov said that women, children and the disabled among Azerbaijani citizens are already being sent from Bucharest to Baku by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), and men are being sent to Azerbaijan via Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. According to him, 140 women, children and disabled people will be flown from Bucharest to Baku tomorrow at 08.00: “According to the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, AZAL sends one or sometimes two planes a day to bring Azerbaijani citizens from Bucharest to Baku. We have already decided to send only women, children and the disabled to Azerbaijan by plane. Men are sent to the country by buses. At the same time, in accordance with the instructions of the President, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry held talks with the foreign ministries of Romania and Bulgaria, and Azerbaijani citizens leaving Ukraine can travel to Azerbaijan in their own cars.
