A session dedicated to the topic of "Digitalization in Azerbaijan" was held during the opening ceremony of the Regional Acceleration Center of the International Telecommunication Union, APA-Economics reports.
In the session attended by more than 50 foreign representatives from various African countries, IRIA Chief Commercial Officer Salar Imamaliyev informed the participants of the event about the significant progress made in Azerbaijan's digital transformation in recent years.
He said that Azerbaijan's successful digital development model has aroused growing interest, especially in the countries of the African continent:
"Azerbaijan's leading digital state products "mygov", "mygov ID", Digital Document Circulation and "digital.bridge" are being studied by the countries of the African continent. We, as IRIA, are considering the possibilities of applying Azerbaijan's digital development experience in a number of African countries."
He also noted that in addition to digital state products, the products of resident companies of the Technology Park operating under IRIA can also potentially be exported to African markets. Thus, several companies in the Technopark provide highly competitive products and services in global markets.
