Abbas Mousavi summoned to MFA, Azerbaijan issued response note to Iran

The noted note of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Azerbaijan addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was received on April 3, said the head of the press service of Azerbaijani MFA Aykhan Hajizade, APA reports.
According to him, in connection with the mentioned issue, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan Abbas Mousavi was summoned to Azerbaijani MFA on the same day.
Emphasizing that what was mentioned in the note of the Iranian side about the Azerbaijani media does not reflect objectivity, the response note to the Iranian side, as well as the list of the several articles against Azerbaijan in the Iranian media was presented.
The ambassador of Iran to our country was informed that insulting, false, slanderous, and biased information about the Republic of Azerbaijan, its state and government officials, as well as untruthful statements and speeches of Iran's well-known social and political figures are damaging the relations between our countries and further deepening misunderstandings.

In addition, it was noted that the misunderstandings that arose in the period of relations between our countries are always caused by the unilateral actions and steps of the Iranian side, and the consistent well-intentional steps of the Azerbaijani side are not adequately reciprocated by Iran.
During the meeting, it was emphasized the need to take urgent measures to prevent the spread of false and biased information against Azerbaijan in the Iranian media.
