It is expected that the next meeting of experts on the delimitation of the border between Azerbaijan and Georgia will be held in Tbilisi by the end of this year, told to journalists Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
He said not only the obtained materials and the results of the completed latest onsite observations and researches would be reviewed at that meeting, but also some archive materials will be reconsidered.
"As you know we have succeeded in the reconciliation of 2/3 part of the state border between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and it's 1/3 part still awaits demarcation. There are some discrepancies in this matter, and the need has arisen for the reconsideration of some documents. Experts hold frequent and consistent meetings. The last meeting took place two months ago. We have agreed to continue the expert meetings so that some progress would already be made in the area of preparation for our next meeting. We couldn’t make progress in our previous meetings because there were gaps in the issues to be agreed, and the work for the elimination of these gaps should be continued", - Kh. Khalafov noted.
