Hikmet Hajiyev: “EaP should meet needs and requirements of partner countries”

“We are participating in Eastern Partnership (EaP). Currently some talks and discussions about further development of EaP but EaP but for us inclusiveness in this process and also not to rank the partners are extremely important,” Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President - Head of the Department for Foreign Policy Affairs of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration said in an interview with euractiv.com website, APA reports.

“EaP should be designed in essence that the partner countries' needs and requirements particularly should be met and should be tailor-made. Because from Azerbaijani perspective we see EaP as a general framework and we are not asking any kind of donor support or any kind of as financial support within EaP. What we are asking by using this wider framework so that we can build up further cooperation with EU,” Assistant to Azerbaijani President stated.
