The 7th International Congress of Social Sciences, which started at ADA University, ended on June 4 with the Shusha panel, Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
The closing ceremony in front of Shusha Real School was co-organized by the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Turkish Grand National Assembly, ADA University and the International Balkan University.
Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, representatives of Istanbul University of Culture Ihsan Fazlioglu and Zahra Bilgin, Rector of Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University Bunyamin Shahin, Marmara University Omar Turker and MP Rafael Huseynov spoke at the closing ceremony.
Rector Hafiz Pashayev spoke about the importance and responsibility of concluding the congress in Shusha, noting that this event was a gift to the souls of the heroic martyrs who died for the freedom of our lands.
Speaking about the fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the rector stressed that both countries played an active role in the ongoing processes in the region.
At the event, MP Rafael Huseynov noted that the Congress is one of the steps taken to develop and regulate relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
He stressed the importance of holding this congress in Shusha. He said that the brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Turkey showed itself at the highest level during and after the 44-day war.
Speakers of the Congress noted that the event will contribute to the further expansion of bilateral academic relations, noting the importance of further scientific discussions in this format. It was added that about 70 panel discussions took place within the Congress, which began on June 2.
The Congress, which ended in Shusha, ended with a city tour.
