Noah Okafor's late winner helped AC Milan carve out a 1-0 victory away to Lazio in a bad-tempered Serie A fixture on Friday as the referee showed three red cards to the home side, APA reports.

After a goalless first half, Luca Pellegrini tipped the balance of the tie in the 57th minute when he was sent off for a second yellow card.

With its numerical advantage, Milan put together a series of shots, and Rafael Leao found the net in the 78th minute but was slightly offside in the buildup.

The Rossoneri kept pressing and their efforts paid off in the 88th minute when Lazio keeper Ivan Provedel denied Okafor and Olivier Giroud's successive strikes, but could do nothing more to stop Okafor's follow-up.

Lazio players lost temper in the stoppage time as both Adam Marusic and Matteo Guendouzi saw red for misbehavior.

With the win, Milan remained third with 56 points, while the struggling Lazio placed ninth with 40 points.
