Azerbaijan's state budget deficit is expected to amount to AZN 1 billion 497.6 million by the end of 2026, the Ministry of Finance told APA-Economics.
The financing of the increase in the deficit will be ensured through funds raised from domestic borrowing, the available balance of the single treasury account, and the remaining funds of targeted budget funds. The deficit is expected to account for 1.1% of gross domestic product by the end of the current year.
At the same time, based on current expectations, the ratio of the consolidated budget's non-oil base deficit to non-oil GDP is expected to stand at 17.5% by the end of the year, compared with the 18.8% forecast for 2026.
