Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced he will resign on September 27, APA reports.
"On the 27th, I will resign as president," Vucic said on the Pink television channel .
On September 9, the Serbian president approved decisions to dissolve the National Assembly and schedule snap elections for October 25. Vučić later announced that he would resign at the end of September and would prepare for the snap parliamentary elections as an ordinary citizen. Prior to this, Miloš Vučević, chairman of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, announced that Vučić would lead the party's list for the upcoming parliamentary elections and become its candidate for prime minister.
