Poland plans to establish a new reserve force with a strength of 500,000 personnel and a high level of combat readiness, APA reports, citing RMF 24.
Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the new reserve force will be voluntary and designed for rapid mobilization.
According to the minister, those who join the reserve will undergo regular training and exercises to maintain readiness.
The minister added that training for the first group of volunteers will begin on March 7 this year.
