On February 12, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban reminded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who sets the conditions for the country's accession to the European Union (EU) after the demands of the Ukrainian leader on the timing of the adoption of the initiative, APA reports.
"Dear Mr. President, you are on the wrong track. Joining the EU is a merit—based process," he wrote on the social network X.
According to the Prime Minister, the conditions for joining European countries are set by the member states, not the candidate countries.
