Minister: We are considering Joint Declaration on strategic partnership with Slovakia

Significant efforts have been made towards strengthening bilateral relationships between Azerbaijan and Slovakia over the past years. The legal base has expanded, and 11 documents have been signed between the countries, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov said at the Azerbaijan-Slovakia business forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

The minister noted that in October 2021, the Agreement on economic cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Slovak Republic" covering industry, construction, transport, logistics, investment promotion, energy and other areas was signed between the two countries.

"This agreement established a solid foundation for our partnership. Additionally, we signed an agreement on prevention of the prevention of double taxation, and this agreement is expected to come into effect on January 1, 2025. This further improves the business environment between our countries. Currently, we are also considering the Declaration on strategic partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Slovakia", M. Jabbarov added.
