According to the information as of 15:00 local time in Ankara, Türkiye, 54% of registered voters used their right to vote in the snap presidential elections of Republic of Azerbaijan, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye said, APA’s Türkiye correspondent reports.
Azerbaijani citizens living in Ankara and surrounding areas were participating actively in the voting process of extraordinary presidential elections of Azerbaijan held in polling stations 46 and 47 of Yasamal constituency No. 16 established in the administrative building of the Embassy in Ankara.
The voting process in Türkiye will go on until 19:00 local time.
Note that voting in the presidential election is going on in Azerbaijan. Candidates for the presidency in the upcoming election include incumbent President Ilham Aliyev (New Azerbaijan Party), independent contenders Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev (National Front Party), Fazil Mustafa (Great Order Party), Elshad Musayev (Great Azerbaijan Party), and Gudrat Gasanguliyev (Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party).
