Azerbaijani Culture Minister meets with his Libyan counterpart

Azerbaijan’s Minister of culture Adil Kerimli met with his Libyan counterpart Mrs. Mabruka Osman, APA reports citing with Ministry of Culture.

The Minister informed about World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue held for sixth time in the frame of “Baku process” on intercultural dialogue proposed by president Ilham Aliyev in 2006.

It was noted that “Baku process” is accepted as a main global platform on intercultural dialogue by the UN.

Minister Mabruka Osman who thanked for the meeting appreciated the importance of the forum and expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for invitation to this respected event.

During conversation it was emphasized that this year Azerbaijan will host another globally important event - 29th session of UN Climate Chane Conference. He stated special discussion will be held regarding impact of the climate change to cultural sphere and the role of culture in protecting environment.

Noting the ancient city of Shusha was declared as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World by ICESCO in 2024, Mr Minister invited his Libyan counterpart to the opening ceremony of the above-mentioned event in the coming days.
