53,733 people are registered voters in 59 precincts of Gabala District Election Commission No. 116, APA's Shirvan bureau reports.
3,720 voters in the constituency are voting for the first time. 853 of them are over 80 years old.
A total of 9 surveillance cameras have been installed in the district.
Observers from the OSCE are monitoring the election process in polling station No. 2.
Note that voting in the presidential election is going on in Azerbaijan. Candidates for the presidency in the upcoming election include incumbent President Ilham Aliyev (New Azerbaijan Party), independent contenders Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev (National Front Party), Fazil Mustafa (Great Order Party), Elshad Musayev (Great Azerbaijan Party), and Gudrat Gasanguliyev (Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party).
Polling stations are open for voters from 08:00, and to close at 19:00.
