Environmental change problems in Caspian Sea will have an important place at COP29 - Azerbaijan Deputy Ecology Minister

"Azerbaijan is taking measures to create specially protected special national parks," Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan Umayra Taghiyeva said at the five-way meeting of the representatives of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Caspian littoral states, APA reports.

She noted that in the last three years, 20 million 311 thousand baby fish have been released into the Caspian Sea:

"Regular monitorings are conducted with the "Əlif Hacıyev" ship in order to determine the environmental damages of the marine environment. Among the main components of the COP29 to be held in Baku this year, problems of environmental change in the Caspian Sea will also have an important place."
