Deputy Minister: COP29 indicates that Azerbaijan is engaged in practical work in direction of climate change

29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will be held in Azerbaijan this year. This indicates that our state, as a reliable and responsible member of the international community attaches great importance to solving global issues related to climate change and is engaged in practical work in this direction, said Rauf Hajiyev, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, member of the Coordination Council for Sustainable Development, co-chairman of Environment and Climate Change - the IV Final Group, APA reports.

"I believe that our cooperation with the UN in various directions including preparations for COP29, cooperation within the framework of the activities of the environment and climate change result group, will successfully continue, playing a special role in achieving the set goals," noted Rauf Hajiyev.
