He noted that President Ilham Aliyev declaring 2024 as the “Green World Solidarity Year” is a challenge: "Our country hosting COP29 next year is quite important. Of course, there are great obligations in store for the state regarding the preparation for this great event. A meeting was held with the attendance of President Ilham Aliyev. Instructions were given to all the state bodies for the preparation of the proposals, including the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. And we heard good news today, 2024 was declared as the “Green World Solidarity Year”. This is also a challenge. Our next year will be very rich ecologically, it will be the center of both the ecological and environmental issues discussed within the framework of COP 29. This puts important tasks in front of us."
