Azerbaijan's role at COP29 will not only be limited to the host mandate, said Elnur Soltanov Head Executive Director of COP29 at the first press conference of the 29th session (COP29) of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change held today, APA reports.
He noted that the conference will be the platform for the wide discussions and activity in order to accelerate the green energy transmission.
It was stated that he is sure that new opportunities will arise in terms of the implementation of the commitments Azerbaijan that it has taken in this direction. Elnur Soltanov noted that the role of Azerbaijan will not be limited to the host mandate and Azerbaijan will also lead the negotiations at the conference.
"In this regard, in November of this year, the attention of the whole world will be in Baku.".
