Head of the Regional Administration of Zaporizhzhia Yevhen Balytskyi revealed on Saturday that the region is prepared to export 7,000 tonnes of grain per day to markets after a harvesting campaign collected 1.5 million tonnes of crops there, APA reports citing Teletrader.
He emphasized that a million tons of grain are expected to be harvested again in the fall, while the issue of the Berdiansk port is about to be resolved, allowing farmers to sell the products to "traditional markets [Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East.]
Previously, the country's Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuriy Vaskov underlined that around three million tonnes of grain are likely to be exported in September.
