Macron should send troops to protect French museums instead of Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in response to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service’s (SVR) statement about France’s plans to deploy a military contingent to Ukraine, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“According to 2025 data, there are 1,123 museums in France. Given the serious state of internal security and public order, it would be better if Macron sent at least two of those soldiers to protect these cultural sites and prevent what happened at the Louvre from happening again,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.
