Baku – APA. “Implementation of visa regime in the CIS countries will mean that we are pushing aside the former Soviet republics. We should bring them closer, instead of pushing aside. We should carry out this process in a more civilized form, work in such a way that won’t irritate the local population but evoke a positive response,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the press conference on the outcomes of summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
Answering the question on migration problem, Putin said that Russia's labor market needs to fill vacant jobs not filled by local citizens: “Therefore, we should pay more attention to the issues of the labor market, and determine workplaces for migrants more professionally.”
Putin also added that the migrants should understand the importance of knowing the Russian language, culture and respecting the Russian laws, traditions.
