Viktor Yanukovych leaves Kiev

Baku – APA. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych left Kiev on February 21 at 22:40 local time. The presidential plane carrying President Yanukovych along with his loyal bodyguards, as well as Speaker of Parliament Volodymyr Rybak and Head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Klyuyev took off in an unknown direction, APA reports.

Ukrainian media reports that the President arrived in Kharkiv to attend the congress of deputies of the south-eastern regions of the country on February 22. According to a source of the U.S. Department of State, Yanukovych arrived in Kharkiv. Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara told Americans about it. The official of Kharkiv airport said that the presidential plane did not land in the city.

RBK Ukraine reports that the presidential plane landed at Fujairah International Airport, the United Arab Emirates on February 22 at 04:30. It is not known whether Yanukovych was on board or not.

Yanukovych has not yet signed the important laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on February 21.
