He expressed his confidence that the adoption of the resolution will help solve the conflict in Ukraine and give an impetus to the process of liberation of Azerbaijan's occupied territories.
The diplomat said Russia's rhetoric that the rights of national minorities are violated in Ukraine aims at justifying aggressive policy against Ukraine.
"Ukrainian embassy in Azerbaijan reiterates that the rights of all national minorities, including the Russian-speaking people are unconditionally respected in Ukraine," he said.
The UN General Assembly passed a resolution supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity on March 27. 100 states, including Azerbaijan voted for, 11 countries, including Armenia voted against the resolution.
