This was stated by the acting Prosecutor General Oleg Makhnitskiy in an interview to the Financial Times before the opening of the Ukrainian Forum in question of returning the assets in London.

“At the moment the Russian Federation is officially hiding factual criminals, such as Yanukovich, Pshonka, Zakharchenko, without acknowledging their guilt. The Russian Prosecutor General Chaika publicly stated that Russia will not expatriate them. All countries are cooperating with Ukraine, except for Russia. According to the latest operative data, a minimum of $32 billion was exported to Russia alone,” said Makhnitskiy.

According to him, the requests for help were responded to by Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. In particular, according to the Swiss side, as of the end of 2012 in Swiss bank accounts there were $2 billion in Ukrainian assets. Makhnitskiy is convinced that “the noted sum could not have been received through legal means or the part of the money received legally was insignificant.” He noted that during the investigation, personal assets of Yanukovich and his son Olexander, former head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Kliuyev, former Head of the Ministry of Agricultural Policies Mikola Prisiazhniuk were arrested, as well as their accounts in Ukrainian bank institutions on a total sum of almost 1 billion 300 million UAH, including bonds on 1167 million UAH, more than $9,6 million and 214 thousand Euro.
