Transneft announced about a criminal threat to transit in the port of Makhachkala

Baku-APA. In "Transneft" regularly receives requests from shippers for losses and "problematic" situations while transshipment of crude oil from tankers in the port of Makhachkala, reported in a press release on the company website.

"The crime situation on the "Dagnefteprodukt" and the inaction of the Republican administrative structures actually leads to the closure of export flows of Caspian oil via the only infrastructure of the Russian Federation", — stated in the message. It is projected to "Transneft", will lead to the redirection of potential volumes of oil on such corridors as the Baku — Tbilisi — Ceyhan (BTC) and ports of Georgia.

Oil from tankers in Makhachkala is supplied to the terminal "Dagnefteprodukt for the transportation via the system of trunk oil pipelines in the port of Novorossiysk. This loss of energy when pumping from the tankers to storage tanks shall not exceed 0.2 percent of the volume. At the same time, the Turkmen Council notes that in 2014, the loss amounted to 0.84%, in 2015 — 0.44 percent, and for the first quarter of 2016 1.43%.

"In may of this year, "Dagnefteprodukt", taking five thousand tons of Turkmen oil, refused to hand over this amount to the system of Transneft and is currently trying to force the resource owner to sign the act on the formation of "dead" residues in tanks tank farms", — said in a release. In addition, in "Transneft" notice that in the acceptance of raw materials from storage tanks "Dagnefteprodukt" repeatedly documented a significant decline in quality: during the first quarter of 2016 it was 16 stops receiving substandard oil.

The situation in the port of Makhachkala has already led to a decrease in volumes of oil transported on the route Makhachkala — Novorossiysk pipeline, according to Transneft. So, since 2013, "LUKOIL" reduced the amount of shipped oil via the Makhachkala port twice, redirecting these volumes to the BTC pipeline, the willingness to suspend the shipment of oil through the Makhachkala declare Turkmen manufacturers.

"Transneft is a Russian state-owned company, the operator of oil pipelines providing transportation for about 90 percent of the output of Russian oil. Owned by the company is 72 thousand kilometers of oil trunk pipelines, about 500 pumping stations, over 23 million cubic meters of storage tanks.
