Threats to CIS countries remaining â€“ Putin

“We realize the dominant situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East,” said Putin.

On Oct.28, Moscow hosted the 39th meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of National Security Enforcement Agencies and Special Services.

Then, Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted the heads of delegations taking part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of anti-terrorism activity on the territory of CIS countries, and matters of combating terrorist organizations and groups that have received training in Syria and Afghanistan.

The CIS Council of Heads of National Security Enforcement Agencies and Special Services was established under the decision of the CIS Council of Heads of State dated 28 March 1997.
