Lukashevich stressed the importance of Syrian opposition representatives’ consent to the holding of this meeting.
“It’s early to appoint a date for this meeting. Preparatory works are underway at the moment. We are trying to build contact with the opposition. The opposition’s presence at the meeting must not be limited to the National Coalition. There are other opposition forces in Syria apart from the National Coalition. They are also interested to build dialogue and normalize the existing situation. Their participation is also important at the meeting to be held between the government and opposition,” he said.
