Baku – APA. Russia’s Federal Security Service in Sevastopol has reported detention of suspected members of a sabotage group who allegedly plotted acts of sabotage in Crimea’s military facilities, TASS Agency reported.
The detention occurred on November 9. "The members of sabotage and terrorist group of the main intelligence department of Ukraine’s defense ministry were apprehended who planned to carry out acts of sabotage at facilities of military infrastructure and utilities of the Crimean Peninsula," the FSB public relations center told TASS on Thursday.
The service claims that powerful explosive devices, weapons and rounds of ammunition, means of special communications and also maps of facilities to be targeted by the acts of sabotage were seized from the detained.
On August 10, Russia’s FSB announced detention of a group of suspected saboteurs and prevention of allegedly planned terrorist attacks on the Crimean Peninsula. The aborted terror attempts were designed to target Crimea’s critical infrastructure and vital facilities, the FSB said. The detained men - Andrei Zakhtey and Yevgeny Panov - admitted their guilt and were arrested.
