Baku. Zumrud Pashayeva – APA. “I don’t see any logical connection between the anti-Russian sanctions and normalization of the situation in Ukraine”, Russian FM Sergei Lavrov told a press conference following the meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Rafael Ramirez, APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS.
“We are assisting the implementation of the Minsk agreements no to have the sanctions lifted. We do what we do to help normalize the situation in Ukraine. It’s in our national interests to restore peace there,” said Russia’s top diplomat.
Sergei Lavrov said the West uses the illegal instrument of sanctions just to take their frustration out on Russia.
