Scandal occurs at international conference in Yerevan

Baku. Anakhanum Hidayatova – APA. A scandal occurred at the conference against discrimination, xenophobia and intolerance in Yerevan, Armenia.

APA reports quoting Armenian media outlets that after Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian declared open the conference entitled “Fight against discrimination, xenophobia and intolerance”, activists entered the hall with placards in their hands.

The activists stated that the Armenian government can not hold such conferences, because the ruling regime in Armenia is racist.”

Security officers of hotel hosting the conference, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry and police officers tried to drive the activists out, but they failed. The activists lined up before the guests of the conference and stayed in the room for half an hour.
