Baku. Anakhanum Idoyatova – APA. Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Astana to attend a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of heads of states, APA reports quoting ITAR TASS agency.
Together with the Belarusian and Kazakh leaders, Alexander Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbayev, Putin plans to sign the agreement on the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union, due to begin to function in the Customs Union space from Jan 1, 2015.
Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will be discussed at the meeting.
The Kremlin sees the upcoming signing of the agreement between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan as a landmark integration event.
