He said that this murder can be seen as provocation on the background of emotionality that we lived due to several plans of opposition as well as Ukrainian crisis.

“It is clear that Boris Nemtsov was opposition member. He had contacts with different persons in Kiev. He often visited Kiev and this is not secret”, he stressed.

As for the reactions of Western countries towards this crime, Peskov noted that it is not important what the West is thinking: “We need to wait for the results of the investigation. The Russian President must offer condolences to Nemtsov’s relatives”.

Touching upon the issue that Ukrainian model Anna Duritskaya was the only witness of the politician’s death, Peskov recommended waiting for the investigation of the girl’s role in the crime by law enforcement authorities.

APA reports quoting LifeNews that Nemtsov’s house in Moscow is being searched. The investigators believe that all materials related to his business and political activity can help the investigation of the crime.

The source in the law enforcement authorities told Interfax that the materials in Nemtsov’s computer will also be checked. Neighbors could also be questioned to clarify his situation on the last days.

It should be added that the car, in which Nemtsov’s killers were, is being searched.

Popular Russian politician and opposition leader Boris Nemtsov has been shot and killed in the center of Moscow at about 23:40. A car approached, from which were fired several shots. Four shots hit Nemtsov in the back.
