Although exact figures were not disclosed, it is well known that Russia Today received 6.75 bln rubles (104 mln dollars) rubles in 2016 and TASS 1.81 bln rubles (27.8 mln dollars).
The Russian Ministry of Finance also proposes reduction of subsidies allocated to TV channels which provide analogous broadcasting service in towns with a population of less than 100,000 people.
This year the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company has received 24.99 bln rubles (383 mln dollars), Russia Today 19 bln rubles (292 mln dollars), Ostankino 1 bln rubles (15.4 mln dollars).
