Bus crashes into tree in Shemakhi: 2 killed, 13 injured

Shamaki. Elvin Yagubov-APA. The accident happened around 00:30 on September 11, on the 132nd kilometer of the Baku-Shamakhi road, in Mirikand village, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to eyewitnesses, a passenger bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree. As a result of the accident, two residents of Madrasa village, Shemaki, Kikabadze Murad Bakhtiyar 13 and Bayramova Gulnar Ali, 35, died on the spot. 13 people, received injuries of different severity, were taken to the Shamakhi Central Hospital.

All the victims are relatives and residents of Madrasa village, who were returning home after a birthday party. The reason of the accident is still investigated. According to preliminary data, the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle when tried to avoid a collision with another car, which came from apposite direction.
