Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Russia is interested in development of multilateral cooperation in the Black Sea region, said Sergey Naryshkin, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) and Speaker of Russia’s State Duma.

He made the remarks at the opening of the 47th plenary session of PABSEC in Moscow June 29, APA’s correspondent reported from Moscow.

According to him, Russia is interested in future development of multilateral economic cooperation aimed at regional peace, stability, and prosperity of our countries.

“Issues unrelated to the competence of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation should not be artificially attributed to the organization’s area of activity. The more an organization’s real potential is manifest, the more problems and crises the same organization will have,” said the State Duma chairman.

The PABSEC plenary session is being attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey. Georgia and Ukraine have waived participation in the session.
