In spite of the visa-free regime between the countries, Turkish citizens are not allowed to enter Russia for two days, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported.
The Turkish citizens are delayed at the airport for hours, their documents are taken from them with no explanation, and they are kept in the rooms intended for suspicious persons, and eventually sent back to Turkey.
Russian FM Sergey Lavrov advised Russians not to travel to Turkey upon the incident with the Russian SU 24 fighter jet.
